Alcuescar village lies four or five minutes away by car or twenty minutes away on foot.

It lies like a patchwork quilt thrown over the hills and offers a good range of small shops, a supermarket, banks, pharmacy, restaurants and bars, and an excellent health centre.

It is a simple, unspoilt, white village, typical of the area with quaint streets, gardens and plazas.

There is a beautiful small “hermita” above the village with stunning views over hundreds of kilometres across the valleys. Outside Alcuescar is the historically important Visigoth Basilica of Santa Lucia del Trampal, which is also a renowned water source.

There is a well known centre for the disabled in the village, and all public buildings, banks, restaurants and most shops are freely wheelchair accesible.
